Ciao a Tutti
I would just like to start off on a sad note. This month we lost
2 of our dear Members, Mario Dino & Lucy Fiore. Please pray for them and
their families they will be truly missed. The Board and myself would like to
send our condolences to their families.
October was another slow month but we had a great Columbus
Dance. Thank you to the Heritage
Committee and to our Social Director Karen Gagliano and all of the volunteers
who put this together. A real special thanks to Maria Russo for making the
costumes for Christopher Columbus and Queen Isabella. They were beautiful. The
meal and the entertainment were over the top.
What can I say about our next event which was “I Luv the
80’s” Saturday Night Halloween Pub Night. The place was packed and the costumes
were outrageous. Thank you all for attending. Financially it was a fantastic
Moving on to November what an exciting month this will be.
November 4 is another Pub Night with “Shakedown”. These guys are fantastic so
don’t miss out on this. 10.00 at the door includes free appetizers and they
will play from 7-11.
On November 11th is our 43rd
Anniversary Dinner Dance. Can you believe it? This club has been around for 43
years, wow we must have all done something right! “Traces of Gold” will be
playing and our Chef Anthony is preparing a special meal. There are still some
tickets available so call the office and get them now.
Our New Year’s Eve “Black & White Extravaganza” tickets
will be on sale November 6 at 9:00AM. We will be giving out numbers so we have
some order and no one gets left out. We now have “8 ten tops” thanks to Dominic
Poppa for building 4 of them.
The Board and myself would also like to thank Joe &
Diana Leonetti who answered the boards call and actually paid to have the tree
removed from the parking lot that Irma left for us. Wow!
On to Club Business. As all of you know we are voting on
increasing the dues at the November 15th General Membership Meeting
and also for the last Directors spot. This is a very important meeting and I
hope all of you will attend. Joe Jaworski will be going over the financials to
justify the increase. This is our club and we are all shareholders. The
Building and the property is ours and we all have an interest in it now. The
Board and myself are well aware of the problem we are having getting the food
out on Friday nights. Please be patient and try not to beat up on your
waitresses, the Directors and me. We are all members here and we wait just like
you do. It’s impossible to feed 200 people at the same time. We want to wish
all of you a safe and healthy Thanksgiving. The Club will be closed from the 22nd
through the 26th and the office will be closed on Thursday November 23rd
and will reopen on Monday November 27.
Please pray for all of our members in need and remember
“THIS IS OUR CLUB AND OUR FAMILY” AND “THE BEST CLUB ON THE STRIP”
